We respect your right to delete your data. Here is what happens when you request account deletion.

How to request deletion

You can delete your account in two ways:

In the app: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and follow the confirmation steps.
By email: Send a request from the email address registered with your account to hello@heycreators.ai with the subject line "Delete my account".

What gets deleted

Within 7 days of your confirmed request, we permanently delete:

Your account profile — name, email, phone number, profile photo
Connected social accounts and OAuth tokens
Your media kit, storefront configuration and Auto-DM templates
Campaign application history and messaging threads
Usage data and analytics tied to your account
Push notification tokens and app preferences

What we retain and why

Indian tax and accounting law requires us to retain certain financial records. The following are kept in a de-identified form after account deletion:

Payout records — transaction amounts, dates, UPI reference IDs. Retained for 8 years as required under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and GST regulations.
GST invoices — invoice number, amount, tax breakdown, PAN (if provided). Retained for 8 years under GST record-keeping rules.
Fraud and abuse records — if your account was flagged for policy violations, a hashed record may be retained to prevent re-registration.

These retained records are stripped of your name, email and phone number. They cannot be used to identify you without additional information that we delete.

Timeline

Acknowledgement: Within 24 hours of your request
Account deactivation: Immediate — you will be logged out and cannot sign in
Data deletion: Completed within 7 days
Confirmation: Email sent when deletion is complete

Before you delete

Pending payouts: If you have pending payouts, they will be processed before deletion. You may want to wait until they clear.
Active campaigns: Please complete or withdraw from any active brand campaigns before requesting deletion.
This is permanent: Account deletion cannot be undone. You would need to create a new account to use Hey! Creators again.
