Overview

Hey! Creators (operated by Krisattva Private Limited) is committed to data minimization and secure storage practices. This policy explains how long we retain different types of data and under what circumstances we delete it.

Data retention periods

Active account data

For creators with active accounts, we retain the following indefinitely (or until account closure):

Profile information (name, username, bio, profile picture)
Linked social media accounts (Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
UPI/bank details for payouts (encrypted)
Transaction history and payout records
Creator tier eligibility and milestones

Dormant account data

Accounts inactive for 12+ months are flagged for archival but data is retained for 24 months from last login, unless legally required to retain longer.

Interaction logs

API calls, form submissions, and app usage logs — retained for 6 months
Login history and security events — retained for 12 months
Support tickets and correspondence — retained for 2 years

Marketing and analytics

Email communication history — retained for 18 months or until unsubscribe
Anonymized usage analytics — retained indefinitely (cannot identify individuals)
A/B testing and experiment data — deleted after analysis (max 90 days)

Brand collaboration data

For creators engaged with brands via our marketplace, collaboration records and earnings details are retained for 7 years (India's GST/income tax audit period).

Account deletion

When you request account deletion, we immediately:

Deactivate your account and remove it from search
Delete profile information within 30 days
Retain transaction records for 7 years (GST/tax compliance)
Purge all passwords, API tokens, and session data

Note: Deletion may be delayed if legal holds, open disputes, or tax obligations exist.

Data location

All user data is stored on servers physically located in India, in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Backups are retained for up to 90 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. Changes take effect 15 days after publication on this page. Continued use of Hey! Creators constitutes acceptance of updates.
